Election Celebration!

Senator Blake gathered with friends and family at his office in Pinehurst, North Carolina to celebrate his election victory. He defeated his opponent in the North Carolina Primary.

5/25/2010: Reception for the North Carolina General Assembly

The NC National Guard Association will be hosting a breakfast reception honoring members of the NC General Assembly.

5/27/2010: State of the Research Triangle

Senator Blake will be attending the State of the Research Triangle event. This event is hosted by the Triangle Regional Partnership and will feature information pertaining to the Triangle area.

6/9/2010: Hunan Delegation Arrives

Delegation of business leaders from the Hunan Province in China arrive in the Triangle. The delegation is visiting the triangle as guests of the Carolina China Council whose mission is to foster trade, commerce and investment, cultural and educational exchanges between North Carolina and China.

This week an amendment to SB 1248 was introduced. SB 1248 would provide certified academically at-risk students the opportunity to receive $2500 in scholarship money for tuition payment at a non-public school.
